Denver Union Station

Denver Union Station is the heart of downtown’s transit network and a cornerstone of its history. First opened in 1881 and reimagined in 2014, it now anchors a vibrant hub connecting rail, bus, and light rail service with shops, restaurants, and the iconic Crawford Hotel.

Union Station was revitalized to preserve its historic character while introducing modern amenities and new life to the space.


Riverfront Park Walking Tour (Day 1)
Jenny Jacobs, SVP of Development at East West Partners, guided the delegation on a tour of new developments stretching from Union Station to the Lower Highland neighborhood.


Revisiting Millennium Bridge (Day 1)
Delegates are seen crossing the Millennium Bridge in Riverfront Park, a pedestrian bridge linking Downtown Denver to the Highland neighborhood. Urban legend has it that Bellevue’s Grand Connection crossing was inspired by the BDA’s last trip to Denver in 2012.

Descending the Millennium Bridge (Day 1)

Lower Highland, or LoHi, is a lively Denver neighborhood celebrated for its blend of historic and modern architecture, thriving culinary scene, and unique landmarks like Little Man Ice Cream. In this photo, delegates pose for a group shot in front of an interactive mural.

Fun fact: Kourtny presented on behalf of the Downtown Dallas Partnership during the 2019 BDA Study Tour. Kourtny joined the DDP in 2022.
